Celebrate Antarctica and the most remote point on Earth 
Located at 83°S, 55°E, it lies some 870 km from the South Pole, further from the sea than any other place on the continent. First reached in 1958 by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition during the International Geophysical Year, the site remains marked by a small building, a plaque, and a bust of Vladimir Lenin — now preserved as an historic site. When explorers returned in 2007, only the bust and plaque emerged from the snow, a silent testament to human determination and the extremes of the White Continent.
